Tropical Living

Nestled in a beautiful cul-de-sac in Pinecrest, FL, this one-story home sits within a lush tropical landscape. It's a lively space filled with the sounds of three young children and vibrant Guatemalan paintings that reflect the family's heritage. With full professional lives and an active household, the clients turned to 2112 Design Studio to bring their long-envisioned home improvements to life.

The goal was to integrate their heirloom artwork and existing sofas while creating cohesion between the open-plan entry, living, and dining rooms. A unified palette of materials, furnishings, and color was used to create harmony across the three connected spaces. An outdated floor-to-ceiling yellow stone fireplace was replaced with a light gray plaster finish, a basalt hearth, and a custom wood mantel. A new barn door was added to define the social spaces and draw the eye upward toward the vaulted ceiling.

Each room was carefully designed and fully furnished by 2112 Design Studio to feel distinct yet visually connected – refreshed, welcoming, and ready for everyday living and joyful gatherings.
